Safety Health and Environmental Trainer required for a globally recognised defence and maritime company based in Portsmouth.

As a Safety Health and Environmental Trainer Trainer, you will support the wider business as the SHE Training professional working closely with the SHE Leads and the business managers/ supervisors to deliver training to the business and develop new training where required.
Ideally you will have experience in teaching and training, ideally with level 6 Health and Safety Trainer credentials. They are also looking for candidates with experience working in a regulated industry, ideally defence, aerospace, rail or nuclear!
Your main responsibilities as a Safety Health and Environmental Trainer will involve:
The training delivery of SHE passport courses (Managing Safely, Risk Assessment, COSHH, Fire, Managing Contractors) and other in-house courses to employees of all different levels in a thriving business. (approx. 3-4 days per week)
Maintenance of existing SHE Training courses and development of new high quality SHE Learning and Development solutions embracing the latest technology.
Working with the business and the Learning and Development team to support the SHE Training planning, coordination and governance to ensure effective use of resources.
Your skills and qualifications as a Safety Health and Environmental Trainer will ideally include:
- Level 6 Health and Safety Trainer (will look at level 5)
- Professional Teaching/Training qualification
- Must be personable and engaging to make the subject come alive
- Knowledge is important but so is the ability to deliver it and ensure that people learn
What we're looking for in you:
- Maritime and or any experience in high risk industries would be desirable
- Any experience in military, rail, nuclear
- Some experience as a training consultant
