Section Engineer
West London
£40,000 to £50,000 + travel & package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Section Engineer with previous civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities experience to join a leading main contractor on a major project in West London.
The Section Engineer will be joining a large, experienced team, working on a large package of works. This could include the construction of large diameter tunnels, temporary works, major utilities diversions, shafts, access roads or new structures including bridges, retaining walls and foundations. As the Section Engineer, some of your key duties will include:
- Managing and coordinating the activities of the site engineers
- Develop monthly programmes and benchmark productivity measures for the workforce and asses against the actual programme
- Work closely with the works managers, foreman, gangers and workfoce subcontractors
- Communicate to the QS & QS teams any non-conformance's and all instructions taken from the client/designer teams
- Keep a full and accurate site diary with notes of any changes, variations, subcontractors attendance and all work related talks with the relevant teams

- A degree level qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Previous experience working on a major civil engineering project valued over £100m
