Senior Cloud Engineer.
£45,000 - £65,000 + Bonus and Additional Benefits.
Requirements
The successful applicant will meet the following minimum requirements:
- Building infrastructure and deploying applications to Azure or AWS
- At least 1 Object-Oriented Language and appreciation of clean coding practices
- Building web applications using modern API and SSR or CSR UI frameworks (e.g. Flask, Express, ASP.NET, Spring along with React, Angular, Razor/Blazor or similar)
- Containerisation of applications
- Using and managing Azure DevOps projects or Similar
- Managing development of solutions using Agile approaches
- An ability to discuss and present complex topics in an understandable way
- Consultancy skills in stakeholder management, business development and requirements elicitation
- Strong interpersonal skills to enable internal and external network development
In this role you will support clients by helping to build novel software solutions, embracing modern cloud-first technologies to solve problems using software and data. The Client base provides critical services and products around the world and we need to make sure we develop and protect applications and data to the highest standards.
You will work across an exciting and broad range of industries including transport, health, government, defence and energy to help our clients advance their capabilities and make a real difference in these industries.
We are looking for an experienced cloud solutions engineer who can help us accelerate design, deployment and testing of software development and infrastructure for client projects.
We are also advancing our internal capability for secure and professional software development and building systems that enable us to undertake this work on highly sensitive data for our clients. We need someone that can design, develop and maintain these solutions.
It is to your advantage if you meet any of the following additional requirements:
- Certifications in Azure or AWS
- Database design and management for Relational or NoSQL
- Experience in securing systems with certificate, API Key or OAuth2 based authentication
- Experience with working with Linux systems and basic administration
- Experience with internet and networking (DNS, Certificate Management, Basic Networking)
- Experience using message queues and event streaming
