An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Planning Manager to join the Construction Management Division of a leading main contractor based in Central London. The Senior Planning Manager will join a dynamic team and will lead the pre-construction planning efforts for major developments across the UK valued £200m plus.
The Senior Planning Manager will play a pivotal role in the successful planning and delivery of major projects. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of pre-construction planning, ensuring that their developments are meticulously planned, scheduled, and aligned with client requirements and company standards.
They will collaborate closely with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, to develop robust project strategies and ensure seamless transitions from pre-construction to execution.
CANDIDATE
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction planning, with at least 5 years in a senior planning or management role, ideally within a construction management or contractor environment.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering pre-construction planning for major developments valued at £200 million or more.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as MCIOB or APM are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject) and a strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing solutions.
