We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor with an office in Central London and a project in Oxfordshire. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take the lead role on the £7m project and also be involved with work winning and delivering future projects within my clients energy business.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be splitting your week between the project in Oxfordshire (2 days) and the office/home office (3 days). You'll be tasked with assisting with the development of a graduate and assistant Quantity Surveyor, supporting the Managing Quantity Surveyor with his work winning duties and delivering future projects across this growing part of the business. Some of your key project based responsibilities will include:

• Maximising cash flow
• Providing commercial input
• Ensuring your team meets and exceeds the set KPIs
• Preparing monthly cost reports
• Managing subcontractors
• Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks

In return, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be given the opportunity to join a large, well regarded civil engineering and infrastructure contractor with a growing pipeline of work across London & the South East. Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have:

• Experience with a UK based main contractor
• Experience working on civil engineering and/or infrastructure projects
• Good NEC knowledge
• First class communication skills
• Experience managing a small team
