A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a Capital Delivery Framework for a major utilities provider in the West Midlands. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a well regarded and established business where you'll be given the opportunity to put your own mark on a variety of different projects with values from £5m to £40m across the region.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with the Commercial Manager and supporting them with the development of the team and the commercial management of projects across the framework. You'll be responsible for acting as a mentor to other surveyors, offering both contractual and commercial advice and guidance as well as overseeing the day to day delivery of the projects. Your involvement will begin at the procurement stage and continue to final account settlement as well as overseeing any commercial disputes that arise on the project.
Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have previously worked for a main contractor and have a solid understanding of the NEC suite of contracts. You'll need to have worked within the utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure sectors and also need excellent communication skills and strong commercial acumen.
