An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join to a leading main contractor delivering a fast paced highways and public realm contract in Wolverhampton. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will join a forward thinking organization who are well regarded for their work in delivering a wide array of civils related projects to clients across the UK.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for providing commercial and contractual support to the Commercial Manager and site teams, ensuring projects remain within budget and profitable. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing commercial support to the tendering and procurement process
- Maximise cash flow through the effective preparation of valuations, submission of invoices and receipt of payment
- Manage the prompt preparation of final accounts, variations, claims & disputes
- Cost control
- Production of accurate CVR reports and forecasts
- Identify risks and opportunities
- Identify and manage and change across the projects
- Subcontract management
- Final account negotations
Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need:
- Proven track record of working for a UK based main contractor on highways maintenance, public realm, utilities or similar civil engineering work
- Good NEC knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Live within a reasonable commute of Wolverhampton
Our client is offering a generous salary and package that includes:
- Starting salary of £50,000 to £60,000
- £4,700 car allowance or company car
