A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a background in civil engineering or building to join a leading main contractor on a long term, secured programme of work in Berkshire.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in the successful delivery of various projects across the site as well as building on the relationship with their client. Working closely with the commercial leadership team and Project Managers, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the overall commercial success on the project with involvement at each stage of the process - from procurement through to negotiation of final accounts.
Responsibilities
- Overall commercial management of various projects from post-tender through to final account agreement
- Supporting the change management process including contractual correspondence, administration, valuations and implementation of compensation events
- Subcontract management & administration at each stage
- Providing commercial support to the wider site teams
Candidate
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the UK for a main contractor
- In-depth knowledge of the NEC3 contract
- Excellent communication skills
- Lives within a reasonable commute of Reading
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying
