Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Infrastructure Projects
Location: Birmingham
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor on a large infrastructure project in Birmingham. My client is at the forefront of infrastructure development and has a reputation for driving innovation and excellence throughout their projects.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a large-scale and high profile infrastructure project. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the commercial and contractual aspects of a package of work valued from £10m to £40m, ensuring cost control, and maximizing profitability. Utilizing your expertise with the NEC3 suite of contracts, you will provide strategic guidance and support to our project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all commercial aspects of infrastructure projects.
- Implement robust cost control measures and monitor project budgets.
- Negotiate and manage contracts using the NEC3 suite.
- Provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
- Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Resolve contractual disputes and claims effectively.
- Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in large infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge and experience with the NEC3 suite of contracts.
- Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or relevant field.
