An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure consultancy at their smart offices in Manchester. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take on a key role within the region, assisting with the delivery of complex infrastructure projects for clients including HS2, Network Rail, National Highways, Peel Ports and others alongside the development of a small team, building on client relationships and providing sound commercial advice where required.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:
- Providing accurate cost management and commercial advice to clients, stakeholders and project teams
- Taking the lead role on projects to ensure the sound commercial delivery of each project
- Providing accurate contractual advice and guidance
- Providing procurement advice and direction
- Building trusting and long lasting relationships with clients and their supply chains
Senior Quantity Surveyor's interested in these opportunities will need to be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:
- At least 5 years experience in the UK's infrastructure sector for a consultant or main contractor
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of various forms of contract including NEC
- A 'can-do' attitude
- A degree or masters in a relevant field
- Chartered with a professional body or working towards chartered status
