Senior Quantity Surveyor
£43,000 to £55,000 + travel allowance & package
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well regarded and leading construction contractor in the North East. Based near to Durham, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a site based team delivering a large framework for a major utilities provider.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a professional and close knit team delivering a variety of utilities and civil engineering projects with values ranging from £300k to £5m. As a key member of the senior commercial team, you'll play an important role in ensuring the sound commercial delivery of each project and involved with each project from start to finish. You'll also be tasked with developing junior members of the team and working closely with the client. Some of your key duties will include:
- Preparation of the interim valuations and final accounts
- Procurement of suppliers and sub-contractors
- Contract administration
- Negotiate final account settlements
- Measurement of quantities on site and off drawings
- Support the junior surveyors on the team with their development
- Assist the CM with their duties where possible
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be offered a fantastic role that includes yearly pay and performance reviews, the stability of a secured 5 year framework with a large client, the support of a friendly and experienced team and a competitive package that includes:

Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity must live within a reasonable commute of Durham with working experience of the NEC Target Cost contract and have excellent communication skills.
