Brief

Senior Systems Engineer needed for a highly reputable and leading Defence organisation based in Gloucestershire who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Senior Systems Engineer takes pride in their work with experience in a Systems Engineering role across the full programme lifecycle, experience in a customer-facing role, with the ability to form strong customer relationships, refine customer goals and aspirations into user stories, requirements, or white papers, and support subsequent development, test, and acceptance phases.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Senior Systems Engineer will include:

The Senior Systems Engineer will work within the Project Engineering Team on the development of novel capability in the CEMA and Land Electronic Warfare domains. Reporting to the project Architect and working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Senior Systems Engineer will support the design and delivery of programmes within the project framework.

What experience you need to be the successful Senior Systems Engineer:

• Experience in a Systems Engineering role across the full programme lifecycle
• Experience in a customer-facing role, with the ability to form strong customer relationships, refine customer goals and aspirations into user stories, requirements, or white papers, and support subsequent development, test, and acceptance phases
• Experience with system modelling toolsets and methodologies, e.g., SPARX Enterprise Architect, UML, SysML, TOGAF, or equivalents
• Strong communication skills, and the ability to write in a clear and concise manner
• Willingness to learn about Radio Frequency technologies, Land and Dismounted Systems integration, and the CEMA, Force Protection, and Cyber domains

Desired skills and experience:

• Experience with requirements and user story management
• Experience with complex system and subsystem integration
• Awareness of the CEMA, Force Protection / ECM, or Cyber & Intelligence domains
• Awareness of the Land CEMA Architecture (OpenVPX, GVA, MORA, OpenCPI, or JICD 4.2)
