Senior Verification Engineer
6-12 month contract (out od scope of IR35)
Description:
The role of a Verification Engineer is to develop, maintain and execute manual and automated test scripts for our medical device workflow and imaging software. Based on an event driven service-oriented platform architecture with both web and desktop UI in a container-based environment. Product quality is a key responsibility in a safety critical environment.
Responsibilities:
- To review system requirements and identify scenarios for manual and automated testing. Then develop, maintain and execute Manual and Automated test scripts for the product development.
- To identify and document defects when performing test execution and work with the development team to resolve these in a timely manner.
- All of the formal test activities must be properly recorded according to the company's quality system.
- To continually develop and improve manual and automation test methods, tools and techniques, including the test automation framework.
Required knowledge and skills:
- Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
- Several years' working as a Verification Engineer, Software Developer in Test, or Test Automation Engineer, developing test automation scripts or frameworks using at least one standard programming or scripting language.
- Experience of the software and test development lifecycles and the tools to support them gained working in product development teams.
- Critical thinking with the ability to evaluate, provide constructive criticism and formulate improvement plans.

Desirable experience:
- ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD).
- Automating tests for application software that controls physical hardware.
- Development of systems for medical applications (or other regulated/safety critical areas)
- C#/.NET Core
- API Testing with Postman
- Specflow
- Working in a regulated environment and demonstrating traceability between requirements and tests.
- Microservices
- REST APIs
- Puppet
- Docker, Kubernetes
- Azure DevOps
- SAFe methodologies
