The Role:
So, what will you be doing as a Software Engineer?
- Utilise an Agile/DevSecOps approach for the creation of new and modified software code/test modules as part of a wider product solution.
- Engage in continuous learning and feedback processes to enhance DevSecOps methodologies.
- Lead or participate in technical discussions and meetings as needed.
- Assist in planning for and communicating future work, in liaison with other stakeholders.
- Provide estimates, status updates and other pertinent information related to current and future work.
- Review/provide comments on work items carried out by peers and other team members.
What are we looking for in our next Software Engineer?
Essential:
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in software development using languages such as Java, Python, C++, or Rust.
- Cloud-Based Development: Hands-on experience with cloud-based development environments and agile methodologies.
- Development Concepts: Familiarity with essential software development concepts, including virtualization, automated testing, CI/CD techniques, and configuration control.
Desirable:
- Rust Proficiency: Experience with the Rust programming language and its associated toolchain.
- Educational Background: A degree in mathematics, science, engineering, or computer science.
