Supplier Quality Engineer

A leading innovator in the life sciences sector is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their quality team based on-site in Falmouth, Cornwall. The ideal candidate will be a motivated problem-solver with strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid foundation in supplier management and compliance. You'll thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and play a critical role in ensuring the quality and regulatory compliance of raw materials and components sourced from external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor supplier performance and lead supplier audits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
- Establish and maintain supplier scorecards and performance metrics.
- Manage supplier-related non-conformance issues and root cause investigations.
- Chair the Non-Conforming Material Review Board and oversee disposition of non-conforming product.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to maintain compliance with medical device regulations.
What You'll Bring:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar quality role within a regulated manufacturing environment (medical devices preferred).
- Proven experience with supplier management and audits.
- Independent, proactive mindset with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and sound computer literacy.
- Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
