What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Systems Engineer will include:
Engineering focal point for emergent Underwater Autonomy technology, responsible for working with science and technology community and technology developers across MOD and industry to help focus and de-risk technology to enable the exploitation of underwater autonomy both for current projects and into the future. This will include co-ordination of the SDA-AU Response to assess DASA open calls for innovation proposals. Primary work will being support of UBAD but with input to other projects. During FY21/22 will contribute to establishing appropriate contracting/tasking frameworks to engage with technology suppliers.
Essential Skills:
Junior graduate Systems Engineer with interest in technology development and the ability to quickly develop a broad understanding of fundamental concepts and issues associated with technology exploitation across a wide range of disciplines.
