Trials and Measurements Engineer needed for a multinational Defence organisation based in Dorking. They're looking to employ an experienced Trials and Measurements Engineer who is predominantly technical but as a consultancy they expect their engineers to be able to work across our business and with our clients. So good interpersonal skills are very important as is the ability to make structured decisions, problem solve and show initiative and ownership.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Trials and Measurements Engineer will include:
- Working on a wide range of capability utilising testing, trials, condition monitoring, design codes and computer aided engineering (such as FEA).
- Support projects that are high value, high performance, or safety critical for world class organisations.
- The use of practical, field based techniques to understand the performance, condition and degradation of structures, systems and components.
- Investigating and diagnosing problems, the team designs, develops and deploys a variety of measurement systems, from hand held devices to longer term monitoring systems, as required.
- Depending on experience, the candidate will be involved in the technical delivery and leadership of analysis projects, technical oversight, review of the work of other staff, developing and maintaining relationships with our clients and innovating our service offer.
What you need to be the successful Trials and Measurements Engineer:
In order to be the successful Trials and Measurements Engineer and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
- Technical knowledge in the mechanical / structural engineering and sciences domain.
- Business Development - flexible on the level but must show the flair and interest
- Client facing - able to build strong relationships
- Team player, willing to working within a diverse, often multi-disciplinary team.
- Must be eligible for Security Clearance
