Business Support Manager

Job Summary / Purpose:

The Business Support Manager - The role is to develop processes and procedures for the running of the sales teams and act as a facilitator for tenders, contracts, IT and general Business Support queries. To develop an industry leading sales support department by designing and implementing structured Business Support, Sales Support, Operations and Quality Management. This will be backed up by the strategic recruitment of key administrative staff to ensure each business function is developed into its own productive work stream.

Purpose of the Department:

Business Support - Introduction, maintenance and implementation of processes and strategies to enhance revenue and sales performance. Develop processes and procedures for the running of the sales teams and act as a facilitator for tenders, contracts and sales reports. Ensure that we are working in line with all current legislation administer any changes necessary.

Quality Management - Responsible for the structure of the quality system, maintaining its integrity, developing and implementing new systems and procedures. Conduct regular audits for each part of those systems as well as the Management Reviews.

IT & Operations - Responsible for the facilities management of the office ensuring it remains a safe and clean working environment and a point of contact for any issues. 1st point of contact for IT issues and/or escalation to IT suppliers. This includes set up for new starters, desk moves and management of systems and infrastructure.

Project Manager - Project manager for any ad-hoc projects Gold Group want to implement into the business

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Management of the Business support department. This will vary daily and cover a large variety of area's including but not limited to dealing with tasks relating to: Compliance, General Admin, IT, Training, Operations & Facilities, Projects, Marketing
  • Line management of the support administrators
  • Issuing all Contractor and Client contracts as well as point of contact for queries relating to contracts or terms of business.
  • Producing company reporting information for the sales teams
  • Training new employees on IT systems, EAA regulations, search techniques and company processes and procedures.
  • Management of annual audits/accreditations including but not limited to ISO, Cyber Essentials and more.
  • Writing and implementing procedures for sales team. For example how to complete deal sheets correctly, using job boards, responsibilities for all consultants and managers.
  • Organising monthly and annual sales meetings
  • Acting as Executive Assistant to the Directors of the business.

Relevant skills required for the role:

5 GCSE's at Grades A-C (or equivalent) including English Language and Maths

  • Experience of developing, maintaining and delivering on process and procedures.
  • Ideally a good understanding of the recruitment process, contracts and producing statistical information.
  • Strong IT skills, you must be able to understand or learn Gold Group's IT network set up and understand how all of the technologies work together.
  • Strong experience in administrative roles, with knowledge of contract management and tender documentation.


3 A-Levels or equivalent / Degree

  • ISO 9001

This is a full time permanent job, we offer some flexible working with 2 days per week from home when possible. We shut over the Christmas holidays making sure all our staff are fully recharged for the year ahead. We celebrate when the business is successful and would love you to be a part of it.
