Brief
Drainage Engineer needed to join an award-winning and multi-disciplinary design and engineering organization, who provide expert and sustainable services for local authority and private sector clients, to come on board and join the team in London. As a Drainage Engineer, you will be involved in the design, modelling and documentation of civil infrastructure components of projects, including but not limited to; drainage design, SuDS designs and hydraulic models.
It's desirable for the successful candidate to be degree educated in Civil or Structural Engineering, or another relevant discipline, and have a minimum of two years of experience in drainage design.
What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Drainage Engineer will include:
- Liaison or consultation with statutory authorities or undertakers as necessary to implement the construction of the project.
- Preparing reports.
- Assist in the preparing contract documents.
- Production of drawings (AutoCAD) and (Civil3D).
- Analysing problems and developing innovative solutions.
- Compliance with Health & Safety, environmental and managerial procedures.
What experience you need to be the successful Drainage Engineer:
- Accredited degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
- A minimum of two years' experience in drainage and SuDS design in either local authority or private sector.
- Experience in delivering drainage packages using MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage and Civil3D.
- Self-motivated and diligent.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Ability to apply your technical knowledge to analyse problems and create innovative solutions
