Field Service Engineer needed for an FMCG/Automation Manufacturer based in Rochester who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Field Service Engineer that takes pride in their work undertaking tasks.

The successful candidate would have a relevant qualification within Electrical & Mechanical Engineering and have a keen interest in within Engineering.

What the role entails:

• Servicing and installing of specialist range of industrial machinery like VFFS, HFFS, Multihead Weighers etc.
• Fault Diagnosing and repair (electrical and mechanical)
• Troubleshooting known and unknown issues related to breakdown
• Building and maintaining a strong relationship with clients
• Training machinery operators
• Maintaining a high level of health and safety at all times

What experience you need to be the successful Field Service Engineer:

• A sound electrical knowledge ranging from safety circuits, low voltage relay logic and PLC control systems to high current power circuits including motors and heaters, as well as a strong mechanical aptitude
• Direct experience with packaging equipment like VFFS, Weighers, Metal Detectors/Check Weighers etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to maintain a strong relationship with colleagues and clients at all levels
• The ability to demonstrate a high degree of initiative is essential
• A full and clean driving licence
• Although the candidate will be Rochester-based, regular travel throughout the UK and Ireland, with frequent overnight stays plus some overseas travel is a requirement of the position
