Global Procurement Compliance and Sustainability Development Lead needed for a multinational Medical Tech organisation based in Crawley who are looking to employ a well-rounded individual that takes pride in their work with experience of leading, planning and coordinating engineering and supplier facing activities, in order to assure regulatory compliance, corporate social responsibility and sustainability of their supply chain.
The successful candidate would desirably have in-depth knowledge and experience in both compliance and sustainability, or relevant experience and drive that shows expertise in one discipline, and competence in the other which could be developed into expertise.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Global Procurement Compliance and Sustainability Development Lead will include:
- Collaborate with Legal, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Vice President of Sustainability, Procurement Heads, Supplier Development and Quality, Group Compliance, Internal Control and Business intelligence to align and drive the global supply chain compliance and sustainability agenda.
- Be accessible as a consultant for compliance and sustainability both within procurement but also externally to other functions and suppliers where appropriate. Subjects could include.eg. Corporate Social responsibility, UDI, MDR, RoHS III, Sustainable sourcing, process validation, Code of conduct, conflict minerals etc
- Manage relevant aspects of Procurements Quality Management System. Setup and maintain the QMS to ensure that it adequately captures relevant compliance and sustainability requirements, including global procedures, Quality Agreements, supplier audit checklists. Support both internal and external audits of the QMS and manage non-conformances or opportunities for improvement raised from the audits.
- Keep up-to date with relevant standard and regulations. Plan future changes and benchmark company processes against other similar organizations Continually improve the efficiency and quality of these processes.
What experience you need to be the successful Global Procurement Compliance and Sustainability Development Lead:
- Graduate calibre in engineering discipline preferred, however minimum BSc or BA in Business Administration, Management, Compliance, Supply Chain or Environmental Science and/or specific experience and knowledge will be taken into account Understanding of test development and fault finding.
- A passion and drive for Sustainability is essential.
- Demonstrable experience of managing compliance projects within a technically complex manufacturing and/or supply chain environment would be an advantage.
- Highly computer literate. Creating dashboards and reports is essential.
