HSEQ Manager (Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality)

HSEQ Manager required in Grangemouth for a company who has over 25 years of experience in operating and maintaining Energy from Waste and household recycling centres. The HSEQ Manager will be based at brand new site and will implement processes and procedures that ensure the business works to the highest environmental and safety standards whilst operating in an exciting market.

This role would be perfect for either a H&S Manager with process safety and WAMITAB Experience, or PPC Permit management experience OR for an ambitious Graduate from Environmental/Safety studies with confidence to quickly understanding permit conditions and implement management systems.

Some of the main duties of the HSEQ Manager will include:

• Ensure suitable management controls are in place to ensure as a minimum; compliance with the Pollution, Prevention and Control (PPC) Permit. The HSEQ Manager will create procedures and other controls as required and monitor the businesses performance against the PPC Permit - intervening proactively to ensure the permit is never breached.
• Ensuring the Company's Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policy is fully implemented where applicable and conformed to across the site at all times. This will include following the 2 requirements stipulated by the integrated management system certified to ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 45001:2018.
• Work collaboratively with technical service providers whilst developing excellent knowledge of the Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems used by the facility. Promote problem solving and solutions should deviations occur.
• Monitor through inspections, (particularly during Outages) audits and safety tours the effectiveness of the HSEQ management system and make recommendations to improve safety procedures and work practices when required.

What experience do you need to be the successful HSEQ Manager:

• Conversant with PPC permits and able to proactively ensure zero breaches
• Knowledge and recent experience in Health, Safety and Environmental, Quality Management Systems and relevant legislation preferred.
• A strong background from the energy from waste / power/ Environmental/ chemical / construction/ civil engineering sector.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant disciplines (Environmental subject, civil Engineering, sciences etc.
