Brief

IT Support Engineer needed for a highly reputable entertainment organisation based in South West London who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded IT Support Engineer that takes pride in their work. As a standalone, IT Support Engineer you will be responsible for being the first point of contact for staff located across the UK (approx. 85 employees) by phone or email.

The successful candidate would desirably have a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience and have a keen interest in Information Technology. If you have experience in Networking that would be a plus!

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the IT Support Engineer will include:

• Act as a single point of 1st and 2nd line support - logging and troubleshooting of IT related problems from inhouse software to hardware
• Take ownership of user problems and follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner.
• Providing work-arounds and solutions to get users working quickly
• Working closely with colleagues, and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
• Providing timely mobile device support to users
• Providing responsive support for remote users
• Running training sessions and workshops on system processes
• Be available to be 'on call' out of hours and be the main contact in the IT disaster recovery programme

What experience you need to be the successful IT Support Engineer:

• 5+ years' experience in systems analysis
• 3 + years Project management experience
• Broad knowledge of hardware, software and programming
• Office 365
• Group policy
• Server 2008R2/ 2012 R2
• OSX
• Domain controllers
• Back ups
• Active directory
• HP server experience
