Brief

Logistics Support Analysis Engineer needed for a leading defence and security organisation with offices in the Bristol and Portsmouth areas are looking to employ a number of experienced and well-rounded Logistics Support Analysis Engineer that take pride in their work.

As a Logistics Support Analysis Engineer, you will be degree qualified within engineering or equivalent experience. You will be working within the team that ensures design evolution fully considers and incorporates Through Life Supportability (TLS), and that any design changes are assessed for potential impact on the future Support Solution.

We have several opportunities available including positions at Entry, Senior and Principal level.

What the role of the Logistics Support Analysis Engineer entails:

Some of the main duties of the Logistics Support Analysis Engineer will include:

• Support/ be the focal point of engineering activities within a project team
• Working alongside the Technical Leads to provide Support advice and guidance into the design process maintaining close liaison with all Project Team Support Stakeholders
• Producing Support Engineering documentation, plans and deliverables as appropriate, to ensure the proposed maintenance and repair strategy meets the Support Requirements
• Reviewing and assessing Support deliverables provided by Suppliers
• Instigating regular interaction with Support stakeholders, attending Support meetings / workshops, providing reports against Support activity as directed

What experience you need to be the successful Logistics Support Analysis Engineer:

• Understanding of how Support Engineering tools and techniques are used to influence the design of cost-effective support solutions
• Understand and articulate the impact of Engineering Change on Support deliverables - this will include how Support engineering data, evidence and issues are presented, reported and interpreted within relevant outputs and deliverables
• Understanding of the importance of Supply Support outputs to the development of cost-effective Support Solutions via modelling and analysis using industry standard tools and recognised methodology
• Ability to articulate how the design of a system or sub-system is influenced with regard safe disposal at end of life in accordance with all current and emerging legislation
• Knowledge of the system engineering lifecycle, able to apply good systems engineering practices to your work
• Demonstrable knowledge of Supportability tools, Standards and methodologies

Desirable:

• Ideally, you will have a degree level qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM subject (Engineering/ Physics/ Maths/ Science)
• Knowledge of working in a Defence environment
• Member of an appropriate professional institution, working towards Chartered status

In order to be eligible for this role you will need to undergo Security Clearance Background Checks that require you to be a UK resident and UK passport holder.
