Brief

Manufacturing Technician needed for a leading Defence organisation based in Northampton who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Manufacturing Technician who will be covering a vast array of materials including composites, rubber, resin, paints and high temperature materials in order to support the production team in the manufacturing of our range of products.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Manufacturing Technician will include:

• Use of plant and equipment to compound and press rubber and resin-based sheet materials
• Use of plant and equipment to produce resin-based products
• Manufacture of composite component and shapes through the use of resin pre-impregnated fabrics
• Adhering to all safety practices

What experience you need to be the successful Manufacturing Technician:

• Industrial experience in a mechanical or process engineering environment
• Understanding and experience of following manufacturing process documentation

Desirable:

• HNC in a relevant engineering or science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) discipline is desirable
• Experience with polymers & composites in the aerospace / defence / automotive would be advantageous
