An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Project Director to lead the delivery of a landmark construction project in Birmingham. As Project Director, you'll be responsible for the successful delivery of a complex, high-value building project from pre-construction through to final handover. This is a rare opportunity to lead a flagship scheme within a business renowned for delivering high-profile commercial, mixed-use, residential, and public-sector developments across the UK. You'll take ownership of programme delivery, client and stakeholder relationships, operational performance, commercial control, and team leadership, ensuring excellence at every stage.
We're seeking a driven, commercially astute, and hands-on leader with a solid background in main contracting and delivering large-scale building projects. You'll bring demonstrable experience of managing multi-million-pound schemes, excellent leadership skills, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Key Requirements:
- Proven track record as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager on major building projects (£50m+)
- Strong main contracting background with Tier 1 or leading regional contractor experience
- Ability to manage complex construction programmes from inception to completion
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
- Commercially astute with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Experience across a range of sectors such as commercial, mixed-use, residential, healthcare, or education desirable
