A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor in Herfordshire. The Quantity Surveyor will be joining a well regarded name, renown for delivering high profile, complex infrastructure projects safely, on time and within budget.
The Quantity Surveyor will quickly become a key member of the team, managing a small portfolio of subcontract packages on a major infrastructure project that includes more than 20km of high speed rail infrastructure. This includes nearly 4km of viaducts, a 16km twin-bored tunnel, shafts, headhouses, relocation of existing utilities assets and more.
Some of the Quantity Surveyor's key duties will include:
- Providing commercial support to the wider project team including Project Directors and Commercial Directors
- Ensuring compliance with the commercial requirements of the contract
- Review and agree costs across the project
- Prepare and submit interim applications for payment
- Supporting the SQS with early warnings and compensation events
- Provide support and guidance to junior staff members

Requirements
- Previous experience working for a main contractor on a large infrastructure or civil engineering project
- Familiar with managing teams
- Familiar with the NEC suite of contracts
- Excellent communication skills
