Brief
Senior Civil Engineer needed to join an award-winning and multi-disciplinary design and engineering organization, who provide expert and sustainable services for local authority and private sector clients, to come on board and join the team in the Brighton or Ashford office. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will work on a range of infrastructure projects bringing real change to our communities by providing new Public Realm improvements, vital transport links and delivering access to jobs and driving social value through the wider benefits of our projects.
It's desirable for the successful candidate to hold the relevant degree in Civil Engineering, or another relevant discipline, and have previous experience working on UK based public sector projects (Highways / Infrastructure).
What the role of Senior Civil Engineer entails:
Some of the main duties of the Senior Civil Engineer will include:
- Working on a range of Infrastructure Projects bringing real change to communities in the South by providing Public Realm improvements and vital transport links.
- Working in collaboration with clients, contractors, external design team members, local authorities, statutory bodies and other third parties.
- Provide technical excellence in coaching, mentoring and developing people & teams.
- Undertaking site visits.
- Preparation and procurement of contracts and other vital documentation.
- Ensuring that safe sustainable design is developed.
What experience you need to be the successful Senior Civil Engineer:
- Accredited degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Progression towards Chartered Engineer status with relevant professional institution.
- Previous experience working on UK Public Sector Highways / Infrastructure projects.
- An understanding of service utilities, drainage and external works design.
- Experience of using Digital Design Tools for production of deliverables (eg AutoCAD, MicroDrainage & Civils 3D or equivalents)
