Senior Quantity Surveyor (Claims & Disputes)

£50,000 to £65,000 + package

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with either main contracting or consultancy side experience to join a busy and growing consultancy that has been delivering commercial management, dispute resolution and expert witness services for nearly 50 years. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with a friendly and experienced team and providing a variety of post contract services to clients that include leading main contractors, legal firms, stakeholders and end users. You'll also play a key role in the offices plans for development by assisting with business development and supporting others within the team with the development of their own careers.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor within their busy and growing Darlington office, you'll be tasked with providing a wide array of services covering construction claims, dispute resolution and other post contract services alongside assisting with the growth of the office and the development of others within the team. Some of your key duties will include:

• Undertaking the forensic analysis of tender, contract and claims documents
• Supporting colleagues and clients with the preparation of claims for loss and expense
• Offering support with the preparation of any documents relating to the adjudication process
• Draft written reports, setting out the processes in place, conclusions, solutions and recommendations
• Support the business with their plans to grow, contributing to business development and network events
• Acting as a mentor to junior consultants within the team

Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have at least 8 years of post degree qualification experience and previous experience working on construction claims or disputes. You'll also require excellent communication skills and confident when working both alone and as part of a team.
