Street Lighting Engineer & Jointer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Street Lighting and Connections Jointer to join an up and coming business!
You will be working in a two-man team across Northern London areas, where you'll have the opportunity to become permanent on the books!
Key Duties for the Street Lighting Engineer / Jointer
- Carrying out street lighting & jointing activities - the works will be varied!
- You work safely and be responsible for personal safety, the safety of the workforce and that of others who come into contact with our work.
- Ensure work is carried out comply with the relevant DNO quality and safety standards
- Daily checks on equipment to be used
- Carrying out planned works as set out in accordance with the Host DNO requirements & the company DSR's
- To keep Supervisor/manager updated on progress of works
- Complete job task sheet and ensure joint positions are accurately recorded on task sheet and Host DNO 1:500 plans
- Ensure all works will a civils element follow the safe dig practices and NRSWA reinstatement guidelines
- Ensure all street lighting activity methods are followed as per the company Quality Management System
- Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard
What you will need as the successful Street Lighting Engineer / Jointer
- ECS Card
- NRSWA
- G39 & Safe Isolation
- Manual Handling
- First Aid
- Abrasive Wheels
- Lorry Loader (HIAB/Crane)
- MEWP
- Must have a minimum of 3 years LV jointing (must include mains) & Street Lighting experience
- Current LV Jointing Authorisation
- Holds or working towards NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent
- Experience in testing & Inspection
- Flexible in terms of hours worked, attitude and tasks undertaken
- Holds all necessary Qualifications and Competencies to carry out the works
- Hold full UK driving licence

- Supervisory experience
- HGV Class 2 driving licence
- 5 mini digger licence/ Certification
- HEA Portfolio
- NERS Passport
