Supply Chain Officer needed for a leading Defence and Aerospace company based in Dorset who are looking to employ an experienced Supply Chain Officer who will be responsible for supporting one or more Rotary Wing operations. If you have worked or you are currently working within the Aerospace or Aviation industry in a similar position, please get in touch.
What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Supply Chain Officer will include:
Source parts / components, create and process purchase, repair and exchange orders
Run RFx processes in support of key procurement initiatives
Understand and act in accordance with all relevant company policies, procedures and regulations
Build, foster and nurture effective relationships with key suppliers
Ensure that the business has the right parts available, in the right place, at the right time and cost.
What experience you need to be the successful Supply Chain Officer:
Previous experience as a technical / aerospace buyer within engineering and / or aviation services
Experienced user of ERP systems such as SAP, AMIS, Aerotrac
Demonstrable experience and understanding of maintenance planning
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
