Brief
Manual Tester needed for a technology solutions provider within the automotive industry based in the West Midlands who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Manual Tester that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of using React JS, ASP.NET and .Net Core, SQL Server, MuleSoft, & Azure.
The successful candidate would desirably have a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience and have a keen interest in testing. If you have experience using SQL Server that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Manual Tester will include:
- Design and implement test scenarios for use within our automation test framework
- Understanding of the BDD/ATDD approach to writing tests
- Work collaboratively and be an active contributor to continuous improvement within a team, providing honest and open feedback based on your experience
- Be an active contributor to the execution of our Digital and Technology strategy
- Provide leadership on best practice for UI and Front-end design.
- Mentor and coach other members of the testing community
- Support the Product Owners and Engineers by advising on the practicability of solution alternatives and providing recommendations
- Undertake all roles required as a part of an agile development team to design, build and deploy bespoke applications in line with business needs and priorities
- Contribute to post implementation reviews to incorporate learning's into future work.
- Have a solid understanding of test methodologies and processes within an Agile environment
What experience you need to be the successful Manual Tester:
- Interest of new technologies and know where it's appropriate to use them
- Experience in SQL as well as one or more of C#, VB .NET, Java, or similar programming
- An understanding of working with AGILE + DevOps.
- Demonstrable experience in software testing within a SaaS oriented development environment
- Ability to think and test iteratively
- Track record in delivering agile development of software using the appropriate tools
- Clear understanding and experience of DevOps and why its beneficial to development teams
- Knowledge of Gherkin Business Readable Language
