Avionics & Air Vehicle Systems Engineer

The Individual should have experience of aircraft integration (mechanical and electrical) and preferably some experience in the domain of flight clearance. They will provide expert Avionics and Air Vehicle knowledge directly supporting systems design activities within the ASW-E team, initial responsibilities will include:

o Develop system requirements and development of stakeholder agreed verification / sell-off approach

o Development of trade study reports

o Development of system design and interface documentation

o Development and presentation of design review material

o Definition of system demonstration and testing

o Support to flight clearance for flight trials

o Support to integration and test for flight trials, including data analysis

o Assistance with development of technical solutions, including as appropriate co-ordination and support of platform OEM with assessment of modifications against platform clearance, including:

§ Avionics Systems

§ Integration with platform Nav system / EGI

§ Communication and Datalink Systems

§ Avionics & Mission System Integration

o Liaison with customer and supplier stakeholders, including in-house specialists as required

Desired

Experience of the Merlin Mk2 platform would be beneficial but as a minimum the Individual must be able to demonstrate the following skills:
