Brief
Commercial Manager needed for a leading defence and aerospace organisation with offices in the Dorset area, who are looking to employ a number of experienced and well-rounded Commercial Managers that takes pride in their work.
What the role of the Commercial Manager entails:
Some of the main duties of the Commercial Manager will include:
- Supporting commercial bids and proposals through to completion of suitable Contract
- Actively participate in Business Winning, including contributing to the development of commercial proposals for potential business and the commercial review of the full suite of proposal documents
- Lead the Request for Bid Approval (RBA) and Contract Award (CA) process
- Supporting in the negotiation of tender and ensuring acceptable business agreements and contracts
- Managing bids, contracts and programmes, ensuring all risks and opportunities are managed and obligations are appropriately discharged
- Managing commercial and contractual issues/disputes/claims, ensuring alignment of stakeholders and leadership of negotiations to resolution
- Lead Commercial Customer relationships
What experience you need to be the successful Commercial Manager:
Essential:
- Proven experience in new business and contract negotiation
- Ability to draft and manage large complex contracts
- Experienced in writing complex reports and commercial offers
Desirable:
- Defence, technology, or aerospace background
- Good understanding of Intellectual Property and Export Control
- Experience in managing small teams
- Solid understanding of interactions with related functions (Engineering, Finance etc.)
