A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor in Herfordshire. The Managing Quantity Surveyor will be joining a well regarded name, renown for delivering high profile, complex infrastructure projects safely, on time and within budget.
The Managing Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in the delivery of more than 20km of high speed rail infrastructure. This includes nearly 4km of viaducts, a 16km twin-bored tunnel, shafts, headhouses, relocation of existing utilities assets and more.
Some of the Managing Quantity Surveyor's key duties will include:
- Provide commercial support to the Project Leadership team, commercial director and the wider commercial team,
- Negotiating t&c's with suppliers and subcontractors
- Reviewing and processing payments for interim and final accounts
- Prepare and submit interim applications for payment
- Notification of early warnings, compensation events and submission of quotations
- Risk management
- Provide support and mentoring to the wider commercial team, supporting others with the development of their own careers

Requirements
- Previous experience working for a main contractor on a large infrastructure or civil engineering project
- Familiar with managing teams
- Familiar with the NEC suite of contracts
- Excellent communication skills
