Operations & Manufacturing Manager
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Operations & Manufacturing Manager to play a pivotal role in establishing and scaling a brand-new manufacturing site in Bad Homburg, Germany. This role offers the rare chance to shape operations from the ground up-leading site setup, building a high-performing team, and instilling a culture of continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing production, assembly, IT, stock, and fulfillment functions. From ensuring quality standards and efficient workflows to implementing Lean manufacturing strategies, this hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in regulated environments and enjoys driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage all operational aspects of the new manufacturing site.
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team across production, technical support, IT, and logistics.
- Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations with a focus on quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce cycle times.
- Act as the key liaison for production planning, staff performance, and cross-functional coordination.
- Ensure all inspections, calibrations, maintenance, and documentation meet regulatory standards.
Ideal Background:
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or engineering, with at least 3 in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Proven experience managing production units in regulated environments (e.g., medical devices, life sciences, or automotive).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical/electromechanical assembly.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Total Quality Management, and ERP systems.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on problem-solving skills and the ability to motivate and develop teams.
