Project Manager needed for a leading international tier 1 contractor based in Ipswich who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Project Manager that takes pride in their work with an in-depth experience working within a civils environment. If you have worked on highways, surfacing, street lighting or public realm we would love to hear from you!

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Project Manager will include:
- Accountable for implementation and management of sound and operational practices
- Development and growth of the contract
- Ensure that the build team, planning team and commercial team on site are working collaboratively and following set processes and divisional framework
- To resolve emergency situations as required by the company / contract procedures and obligations
- To ensure all clients' needs are met whilst ensuring all operational aspects of the contract are successfully managed
- Own relationship with subcontractors and select new subcontractors as required.
- Ownership and detailed knowledge of the current programme
- Ensure that the programme is up to date at all times and deliverable by the build team
- Submission of relevant delivery and status update reports on weekly and monthly basis as per divisional process (framework)
- Regularly update project action tracker and risk register
- Minimising costs of works through correct programming and utilisation of labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
- Understand and present CVRs alongside the Project QS
What experience you need to be the successful Project Manager:
- Experience within a project manager role in a civils sector
- Proven technical and project management abilities
- Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and implement safe systems of work
- Detailed knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues relevant to the project environment
- Understanding of cost and value
- Understanding of programming
- NRSWA knowledge
- Excellent time management skills
- Computer literacy
