Quality Inspector needed for a highly reputable and leading Defence organisation based in Fleet who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Quality Inspector that takes pride in their work with previous experience in good's inward inspection and measurements on metalwork, electronic and electrical sub-assemblies and inspection on internally built electrical, electronic and RF sub-assemblies.
What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Quality Inspector will include:
The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming items. This includes the inspection of metalwork and the testing of Electronic, RF and cable and assemblies.
- Carry out good's inward inspection and measurements on metalwork, electronic and electrical sub-assemblies.
- Inspection on internally built electrical, electronic and RF sub-assembly and final assembly inspections whilst verifying that defined process is consistently producing product that meets all applicable specifications.
- Raise quality paperwork- non-conformance reports, concessions EC's…
- General electrical DC testing on wiring looms including basic fault finding.
What experience you need to be the successful Quality Inspector:
- Ability to correctly analyse and interpret test specification, drawings, schematics, data sheets, wiring diagrams, components, specifications and other engineering documents.
- Knowledge of IPC or equivalent soldering standards.
- BTEC Level 3, ONC or equivalent qualified, ideally in an electronics or electrical field or may have equivalent verifiable experience.
- Experience in a quality/inspection role in the electromechanical industry.
- Be confident in using bench top test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzer and Power meters
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office package.
