Quantity Surveyor

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing multidisciplinary consultancy that specialises in commercial management, dispute resolution and expert witness services in Central London. Established for more than 40 years, they work with a wide range of clients including top tier main contractors, consultants, legal firms and end users.

The Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with an experienced team and play a key role in the businesses plans for growth. Working with clients within the building and infrastructure sectors, you'll be undertaking a wide range of duties including:

• Undertaking the forensic analysis of tender, contract and claims documentation
• Assisting in the formulation of claims for losses and expenses.
• Assisting in the preparation of adjudication documentation.
• Crafting comprehensive written reports that outline processes, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Proficiency in working with Standard Forms of Contract (JCT/NEC/FIDIC).
• Offering strategic advice throughout the entire construction life cycle.
• Actively contributing to business development efforts.

Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity must be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:

• MRICS/MCIES Qualified or working towards chartered status
• At least 5 years of post degree experience
• A keen interest in working towards a MSc Construction Law, Post Graduate Diploma or similar
• A good working knowledge of dispute resolution procedures and the basic principles of contract law
• Experience of working on large construction and/or engineering projects
• Able to prepare, asses and interrogate construction costs
• Excellent commuication skills
