The Company.

This client supports customers that operate civil and defence nuclear plants and facilities.

This role is primarily to support the defence nuclear work-stream.

To support strong market demand and the ongoing development and growth of the established Safety team, we are looking for experienced / Senior Nuclear Safety Consultants to help to grow the safety team further.

This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Nuclear Safety consultant who has a proven track record in developing and leading teams of technical safety professionals. It would also be a great fit for an experienced Nuclear Safety Consultant looking for a step-up into a leadership role.
Experience from the UK defence nuclear environment would be a perfect fit.

You will have experience of working in a consultancy environment and have existing or potential team leadership skills and the vision and desire to help to grow a team.

Requirements (experience in some of the following areas)

• Safety Legislation, Regulation and Policy
• Team leadership experience or a desire to take on such a role
• Degree in a relevant subject of Engineering or Safety
• Derivation of Safety Functional Requirements
• Hazard Identification / Hazard Analysis / Fault Sequence Assessment
• Deterministic and / or Probabilistic Safety Assessment
• Engineering Design Substantiation
• Peer Review
• Safety Case authoring

You will require knowledge of nuclear safety management and its application throughout the plant lifecycle; including design, operation and decommissioning and will be able to demonstrate experience in producing the nuclear safety documentation required as part of the Site Licence & Authorisation Conditions.

You will support senior management in the strategy development process by maintaining and communicating a vision for the Client Segment. You will have the ability to identify and support business development opportunities resulting in the preparation of estimates, proposals, budgets and documentation.

You will take a strong interest in understanding clients' problems and in shaping programmes of work to resolve them, within the boundaries of a highly regulated industry.
