Design Manager

An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Manager with strong construction and fit out experience to join a regional main contractor on a contract basis for 6-9 months on an exciting project based in Central London.

The Design Manager will be site based and will work very closely with the site team and play a key role in the project successful delivery.

This is an immediate requirement with a 6 month duration. On offer is a competitive day rate of circa £375-450 per day dependent upon experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and coordinating the design process from inception to completion
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant building regulations and codes
• Liaising with clients, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
• Providing technical advice and guidance on all aspects of design
• Managing and coordinating the work of design consultants and other design team members
• Preparing and presenting design proposals and reports to clients and stakeholders
• Identifying and managing design-related risks and issues
• Ensuring all designs meet project objectives and are delivered on time and within budget
