Contract Role - 6+ months - £350 per day

We are working with a leading main contractor who are currently looking for an experienced Design Manager to join their team delivering a number of exciting projects valued from £20m to £100m across the UK. These projects typically include warehouses and logistics hubs for both online and high street names.

As the Design Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the design process from start to finish. You'll be working with the site based project team, senior management and the commercial teams, managing & coordinating these technically challenging projects. You'll be responsible for the day to day set up and development of other design team members, working closely with the client and providing your advice and guidance where necessary.

The successful Design Manager will be required to visit sites for up to 3 days a week with projects in London, the North East & East Midlands with occasional travel to the main office near to Bristol. On offer is a long term contract of 6+ months with a day rate of up to £350 per day. There is also potential for the opportunity to turn into a permanent role after this period.

Design Managers considering this opportunity must have:

• Experience on new build warehouse or other projects within the logistics sector
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working as a design manager on large projects for a main contractor
• Happy travelling to projects across the UK and staying away from home.
