Senior Quantity Surveyor
Central London
£70,000 to £85,000 + car & package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor at their offices in Central London. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be joining a busy, growing team, typically working on public sector frameworks across the education & healthcare sectors. The role promises the stability of a strong pipeline of secured projects, no limits on career progression and exposure to a variety of exciting and interesting projects.
As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working closely with the Commercial Lead and responsible for the day to day development of a small team of surveyors at varying stages of their careers. You'll also play a key role in the delivery of a number of projects with values of up to £30m, typically procured through a two stage procurement process. Some of your other duties & responsibilities will include:
- Working through all stages of the projects pre-construction phase
- Management the procurement process for subcontractors & suppliers
- Provide value engineering solutions
- Subcontract management including final account negotiation
- Provide support, advice and guidance to other surveyors on the team working under your supervision
- Support the commercial leadership team where possible with the running of the business unit
